About Joaquín
Joaquín Irún is the founding partner of the firm and a pioneer in corporate labor law in Paraguay. As a senior advisor, he continues to play a key role in legal strategy and the representation of corporate interests. Recognized as one of the most influential figures in the defense of the employer sector, he has been a key player in the evolution of labor law in the country.
Throughout his career, he has advised leading companies in both the national and international markets, establishing himself as a trusted pillar for corporate boards in strategic human resource decision-making. He has also advised various Paraguayan state institutions and served as a consultant for international organizations. Today, he continues to counsel clients and lead collective negotiations, bringing his extensive experience in labor dispute resolution and the development of sustainable labor relations.
He is the compiler of Paraguay’s Labor Code, as well as all laws, decrees, and regulations related to labor and occupational health and safety—leaving a fundamental legacy for the understanding and advancement of labor law in the country.
